Knitting Colorwork with Two Hands

I know a lot of you all are taking the plunge and trying colorwork for the first time, or you’re trying to improve your skills. Here’s how I work stranded colorwork with my dominant yarn - the colour that makes the pattern - held in my left hand, and my background yarn held in my right hand. I basically pick Continental style with my left hand and throw with my right hand.

There are lots of other ways to knit colourwork, but this is my favourite.

I’m making a hat in the video above, but if I was making a swatch, I’d just cut it open like shown in the video below. I don’t bother reinforcing my swatches unless I’m testing a reinforcement method.
