My Experience

Where I got it: Plied sent me these adorable tiny swatching bits to try.

Needles I used: Hiya Hiya US 3/3.25 mm

Blocked Gauge I got: 24 sts/38 rows = 4"/10 cm

My Thoughts: The fabric is light, lofty, and soft, and the marled colours are super interesting knit up. I’m really glad I tried so many colours so I could see the effects of the different colours within each colourway.

This is a pretty new company from Karida Collins (the brilliant business woman behind Neighborhood Fiber Company) and designer Ann Weaver, both industry folks that I’ve admired for a long time, so I’m particularly excited to see this new venture from them.

What I might design with it: This feels like a great garment yarn, but it could also make wonderful, full-bodied scarves with interesting colours. I’d stick with plain stitch patterns like Stockinette and garter to let the colours shine.

Where you can get some: Check the Plied website.
