Tropical Birds!

Yes, I’m Still in Canada

Last week, I got to visit an enclosed conservatory filled with some extremely colourful birds (and a lot of adorable mice, which I’m told were not actually invited.) I was in Vancouver and spent an afternoon having so much fun with my camera in some tropical heat at the Bloedel Conservatory. I was so delighted by their expressions, feathers, and spectacular colours, I hope you’ll forgive me that I didn’t keep track of their names. These aren’t birds that I’m very familiar with, except that I remember some from my early years growing up in a tropical rainforest.

Here are just a few of them!
