Knit City Vancouver 2019

I’ve been attending Knit City Vancouver pretty much since I moved to BC and I feel like it’s my kick-off for fall, the best season around here for sweaters. This year the weather was perfect - just chilly enough to need sweaters (so we could all show them off, of course!) but not cold enough to need to cover our knits with coats. It did rain a bit, but just a little PNW drizzle, which just makes me feel at home. That picture above was the view out my hotel room window, so thanks Knit Social!

The very best part about traveling to knitting events is seeing friends and I was so happy to get to spend time with some amazing folks! Above are just a few images I managed to capture while wandering the marketplace.

And the second best part is naturally the yarn. There were so many spectacular vendors this year and yarn closeups in booths were irresistible. Tell me what you came home with and what your plans are! I got yarns for some works-in-progress that I’ll tell you about soon.

Going to Vancouver means a ferry ride from Victoria for me, so I have to share this view with you. I sure love living here.
